You’ll find both a fun and professional environment with experienced teacher Matt Molloy. Matt has 25 years’ experience performing music of all styles and over 12 years’ experience instructing bands and students of all ages and levels. He is excited to be starting up the Band Program for Musicology in September of 2018 at the Music Academy of the West.

Performance opportunities will be offered including Summer Solstice, Avocado Festival, and other events and venues. Matt has helped many students and bands write original songs and record demos. His list of students includes winners of the Battle of the Bands and songwriting contests, past and current students at Berklee College of Music and students who are currently making a living as full time musicians.

Bands will meet for 90 minute practices once a week at a professional rehearsal room, equipped with everything needed for both practicing and recording, at the Music Academy of the West. Bands will be arranged around students with similar musical tastes, experience levels and age ranges. Students will be instructed in many different areas including (but not limited to) musicianship, song writing, stage presence and recording.
