Matt Molloy helped me as a young musician tremendously, and played a big role in getting me where I am today. Matt was able to instruct my band and I in a way that was relatable, technical, but also always fun. Matt is always open to new ideas and projects and once a project is started will see it through to the end.

I tried learning guitar myself using books and CD’s but I kept hitting a wall.  I decided to take lessons and luckily I found Matt Molloy.  I have been taking lessons from Matt for a couple of years now and I still am as excited as I was in the begining!  Matt’s easygoing nature makes for a relaxed learning enviornment.  His approach is well rounded touching on all aspects of music and many types of music.  Matt is a good listener and an intuitive teacher and tailors each class to fit me personally.  I highly recommend Matt Molloy!

Matt has been giving Sophie private guitar lessons for several months, and I have found him to be talented, enthusiastic, and engaging. I believe his easygoing, patient nature makes him an ideal candidate to work with large groups of (sometimes squirrely) children, as he makes learning music fun yet instructive. In addition to being thoroughly reliable and extremely accommodating, Matt is clearly passionate about both music and teaching. I think he would make an excellent addition to the Monte Vista team.

From the perspective of a Director on the SBYMA Board of Directors, Matt has been a great resource for the board as a sensible and coherent representative of the teachers’ point of view on many business matters that the board has worked on over the years. Matt is a team player, and he has proven that he wants the organization to succeed as much as he wants to succeed personally.
